Yea, I will not again smite every living thing as I have done.L ‚#And Noah built an altar to Jehovah, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.K ‚)every animal, every creeping thing, and every fowl; all which creeps on the earth. And it happened in the six hundred and first year, at the beginning, on the first of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked. And, behold! The face of the earth was dried.oD [And he waited another seven days and sent forth the dove. And she did not return again to him any more.3C ‚cAnd the dove came in to him in the evening. And, behold! In her mouth was a newly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters had gone down from off the earth.^B 9
And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.aA ƒ? But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of all the earth. And he put out his hand and took her, and pulled her in to him into the ark.n@ YHe also sent out from him the dove, to see if the waters had gone down from off the face of the earth.|? uAnd he sent out a raven, and it went out, going out and returning until the waters were dried up from off the earth.q> _And it happened, at the end of forty days, even Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.= ‚-And the waters were going and falling until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.v< iAnd in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat.; ‚
And the waters retreated from the earth, going and retreating. And the waters diminished at the end of a hundred and fifty days. : }And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were stopped, and the rain from the heavens was restrained.39 ‚eAnd God remembered Noah and every living thing, and all the cattle which were with him in the ark. In this same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark;B, And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.[+ ƒ3In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in this day all the fountains of the great deep were risen, and the windows of the heavens were opened up.^* 9
And it was after the seven days, the waters of the flood came into being on the earth.W) + two by two, as God had commanded Noah, they went into the ark, male and female.4( ‚eAnd they went in to Noah into the ark, male and female of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of fowl, and of every thing that creeps on the earth,' ‚And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.]& 7Noah was a son of six hundred years, and the flood of waters was on the earth.F% And Noah did according to all that Jehovah commanded him.=$ ‚wFor after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights and will wipe away every living substance that I have made from off the face of the earth.t# eAnd take of the fowl of the heavens by sevens, male and female, to keep alive seed on the face of the earth." ‚5You shall take to yourself from every clean animal by sevens, male and female, and from the animal that is not clean by two, male and female.! ‚And Jehovah said to Noah, You and all your house come into the ark, for I have seen you righteous before Me in this generation.Q And Noah did so, according to all that God commanded him, so he did.z qAnd take for yourself all food that is eaten, and gather to yourself. And let it be for you and for them for food.I ƒfrom the birds according to its kind, and from the cattle according to its kind, from every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind. Two from each shall come in to you to keep alive. ‚)And you shall bring into the ark two of every kind, of every living thing of all flesh, to keep alive with you; they shall be male and female; ‚!And I will establish My covenant with you. And you shall come into the ark, you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.X ƒ-And behold, I, even I, am bringing a flood of waters on the earth in order to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from under the heavens. Everything which is on the earth shall die.A ‚You shall make a window in the ark, and you shall finish it above to a cubit. And you shall set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third stories. ‚%And you shall make it this way: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. ‚
Make an ark of cyprus timbers for yourself. You shall make rooms in the ark; and you shall cover it with asphalt inside and out.5 ‚g
And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. And behold, I will destroy them along with the earth.t eAnd God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupted. For all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth.Z 1And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.< w
And Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. ‚ These are the generations of Noah. Noah, a righteous man, had been perfected among his family. Noah walked with God.8 oAnd Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah.F ƒ And Jehovah said, I will wipe off man whom I have created from the face of the earth, from man to beast, to the creeping thing and to the birds of the heavens; for I repent that I made them.l UAnd Jehovah repented that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.% ‚GAnd Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long.c ƒCThe giants were in the earth in those days, and even afterwards when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore to them; they were heroes which existed from ancient time, the men of name.
‚/And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man; in their erring he is flesh. And his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. ‚The sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were good, and they took wives for themselves from all those whom they chose.s eAnd it came about that men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them.V
) And Noah was five hundred years old. And Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.[ 3And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy seven years. And he died.x mAnd after he fathered Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety five years. And he fathered sons and daughters.% ‚GAnd he called his name Noah, saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.R !And Lamech lived one hundred and eighty two years and fathered a son.[ 3And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty nine years; and he died.~ yAnd after he fathered Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty two years. And the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.te eAnd the name of his brother was Jubal; he was the father of all those playing the harp and the organ.`d =And Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those living in tents, and with cattle.c ‚And Lamech took two wives to himself: the name of the first was Adah; and the name of the second was Zillah.~b yAnd Irad was born to Enoch; and Irad fathered Mehujael And Mehujael fathered Methusael; and Methusael fathered Lamech."a ‚AAnd Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and he called the name of the city according to the name of his son, Enoch.k` SAnd Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah. And he lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.'_ ‚KAnd Jehovah said to him, If anyone kills Cain, he shall be avenged sevenfold. And Jehovah set a mark on Cain, so that anyone who found him should not kill him.c^ ƒCBehold! You have driven me out from the face of the earth today. And I shall be hidden from Your face. And I shall be a vagabond and a fugitive on the earth. And it will be that anyone who finds me shall kill me.W] +
And Cain said to Jehovah, My punishment is greater than I can bear.\ ‚When you till the ground, it will not again give its strength to you. You shall be a vagabond and a fugitive on the earth.z[ qAnd now you are cursed more than the ground which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.lZ U
And He said, What have you done? The voice of the blood of your brother cries to Me from the ground.Y { And Jehovah said to Cain, Where is your brother Abel? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?X ‚'And Cain talked with his brother Abel. And it happened as they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel, and killed him.+W ‚SIf you do well, is there not exaltation? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is toward you; but you should rule over it.aV ?And Jehovah said to Cain, Why have you angrily glowed, and why has your face fallen?oU [And He did not look to Cain and to his offering. And Cain glowed greatly with anger, and his face fell.
T ‚And Abel brought, he also, from the firstlings of his flocks, even from their fat. And Jehovah looked to Abel and to his offering.wS kAnd in the end of days, it happened that Cain brought an offering to Jehovah from the fruit of the ground.R ‚And she continued to bear his brother, Abel. And Abel became a shepherd of flocks. And Cain became a tiller of the ground.Q ‚And the man knew his wife Eve. And she conceived and bore Cain, and said, I have gotten a man with the help of Jehovah.*P ‚QAnd He drove the man out. You shall go on your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.E ‚
And Jehovah God said to the woman, What is this you have done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.sD cAnd the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me, she has given to me of the tree, and I ate.C ‚And He said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?vB i
And he said, I have heard Your sound in the garden, and I was afraid, for I am naked, and I hid myself.UA ' And Jehovah God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?Z@ ƒ1And they heard the sound of Jehovah God walking up and down in the garden at the breeze of the day. And the man and his wife hid themselves from the face of Jehovah God in the middle of the trees of the garden.$? ‚EAnd the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed leaves of the fig tree, and made girdles for themselves.‚> „ And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit andate; and she also gave to her husband with her,and he ate.= ‚for God knows that in the day you eat of it, even your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as God, knowing good and evil.C< And the serpent said to the woman, Dying you shall not die,; ‚but of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.^: 9And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden,Q9 ƒ!And the serpent was cunning above every animal of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said to the woman, Is it true that God has said, You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?R8 !And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed.}7 wTherefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh.)6 ‚OAnd the man said, This now at last is bone from my bones, and flesh from my flesh. I will make a helper suited to him.0 ‚but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you may not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, dying you shall die.g/ KAnd Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Eating you may eat of every tree in the garden;d. EAnd Jehovah God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden, to work it and to keep it.- ‚And the name of the third river is Tigris; it is the one going east of Assyria.
